Global Peace Project

Global Peace Pole and Gong at Planetary Health Day - Katoomba

What a joy it was to be in community. The Planetary Heath Day was a chill, happy and engaging event. Lots of talk about peace, death, birth, nature and sustainability. Peace, Salaam, Shalom. May Peace Prevail On Earth. #peace #peaceonearth #planetaryhealth #peacepole

Global Peace Project at Leura Village Fair

It was a rainy day, but there is nothing you can do about the weather.  People still came out to play. What a joy!  I love my community.

Global Peace Project - Overview

It's all about Peace.  Peaceful hearts and peaceful worlds. Moonlark's journey to foster and encourage everyone to feel and send peace.  Tie a ribbon around the peace pole or strike the peace gong.  Sing, dance, smile.  Part of a world wide peace movement - no religious or political affiliations.  www.worldpeace.org

Global Peace Project Launch - Katoomba

Global Peace Project launched in Katoomba Town Square on 7 October 2024.  Tie a ribbon around the Peace Pole or feel peace in your heart and strike the Peace Gong sending that peace out across the world. Part of the Global Peace Pole project www.worldpeace.org

Peace, Peace, Peace

A beautiful Ubuntu Choir song.  Simple and flowing. Great to sing at bedside. This is performed outdoors in Katoomba Square. Please forgive the not-so-great sync job with the sound.

Some original bedside songs & sound bath relaxations

May I Sing For You

Bedside singing involves singing at the bed side of someone who is dying or infirmed. It's aim is to give a sense of  peace to the client. This form of singing is not for entertainment but is a gift of comfort and love. Performed at the invitation of family or carers I do not charge for this service. Sometimes soft instruments are utilised, hand harp, chimes, bowls. Songs are chosen for their soothing melody and repetition - songs are often spiritual but not religious. It is a great honour when the client falls into a restful sleep.  I am a member of Threshold Choirs International - an organisation that offers the beautiful gift of song to the infirmed and dying. There are so many gentle and moving songs in their extensive repertoire.  However, I am inspired to write a few of my own.  May I Sing For You is one of them.    Remember these songs are sung as gentle lullaby style songs as a form of meditation or relaxation. We all know how much we loved being sung to as babies.  I hope you enjoy listening (and my selection of images - but I am no filmmaker that's for sure!)

Sending You Love

A Song for Dying.  But that doesn't mean you can't lay back and drift away just because you aren't dying (because let's face it, we are all dying, just at different rates). Part of the aim of my work is to encourage people to talk about, and engage in conversation around, death and dying.  It is the most natural and inevitable of human processes after all. I wrote this song for the wonderful women of Threshold Choir Sydney.

Listen Deeply

I am always reminding myself to listen more, talk less.  This short little bedside song came to me last night in my dreams.  My subconscious reminding me of what's important. Listen to Mother Earth, to Spirit, to Ancestor and to each other.

One With Country

Just birthed this song - it's a work in progress (as is life). I am trying to get more upskilled on the technical aspects of producing these little videos. Hope you enjoy it tough. Black cockatoos are one of my favourite Aussie birds so I really wanted to sneak one into a song.

May Peace Prevail

This simple song has a simple yet powerful message - May Peace Prevail on Earth. Part of the Global Peace Project. A peaceful world begins with a peaceful heart.

Mother Ocean

Wrote this song whilst frolicking in the ocean at Byron Bay. A tribute to the healing power of Mother Ocean. I hope you enjoy. We are all interconnected.

Getting to know my monolina

Well my beautiful Monolina arrived yesterday (named Mona Lisa of course). Playing with her is like being in a duet.  Totally mesmerising. And those harmonics ringing out over the top like heavenly angels.  I am in love. See what you think.

Breathe Relaxation Song

A chant, song, bedside singing song with a very meditative intention.  Focusing on the beautiful breath, lifegiving, calming, balancing. Thank you to my lovely husband who is being my test subject laying just out of shot.

Ritual, Faeries and Magic

Live at Winter Magic Festival

I love my community of Katoomba - a bunch of kooky, crazy, creatives. It was an honour to be asked to perform ceremony to mark the winter solstice. But I'm not going to lie, it was a challenging gig - holding the space all by myself after African dancing and a very excited crowd. It is what it is - a lesson in going with the flow.

Winter Solstice Faerie Cards

I created this series of Faery Solstice cards for the Winter Magic Festival Solstice Ritual in June.  They were a great hit. Faeries are real!

Are you a weed or a wildflower?

I wrote this song for a wonderful woman called Pat Collins. And performed it for her at the Wise Women Gathering last year.

Original Songs performed as Tia Maria & the Woo Woo Crew

Tia Maria and Duck at the 2025 Ukulele Festival

What a fun show - a little bit weirdo, a little bit witchy, and a lot of wacky!

Tia Maria and Duck at the 2025 Ukulele Festival

Duck bravely supporting is weirdo friend who likes to sing about peace in pubs....during lunch hour!

The Woo Woo Song

Inspiration for this song came from my smorgasbord approach to religion and spirituality. I have thrown myself into several religious practices over my lifetime - whilst I do not like an "organised" religion I find myself taking bits and pieces from them and creating my own form of worship. This song questions why we hold the notion that some beliefs are more "woo woo" than others?   Enjoy and don't forget to embrace your WOO!

Shades of Grey

I wrote this song when Trump was in office and considering what is happening in the USA it is still very relevant. It seems that since "Trump (and IA) came along" there has been a continued difficulty in discerning right from wrong, truth from falsehoods, fact from fiction.  I find myself distrusting everything. Hence this song is about humanity's inability to see the shades in between the black and white thinking.  I am sure this is only a moment in history - and we will once again be able to debate with sense and rediscover all the shades and colours in our world.

Misty Mountains

This is one I wrote for an anthropological film I was making about the resilience of the Upper Blue Mountains during Covid, Floods and Fires. It's a bit cheesy but I secretly love it. Shhhhhh.

Be That Weirdo

Yes I own it!  Here is a song about all the weird stuff I do.  Who knows maybe you do some of this too!

Tia Maria (and Duck) performing at the Ukulele Festival

A 10-minute selection of my set at the wonderful Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival in the Blue Mountains NSW Australia. Song, story-telling, social commentary and satire. Enjoy!
